with brighton being the spiritual birthplace of the london based anti skate label, it only felt right for them to finally have a proper release from a local talent. tech support’s output has seen releases on the likes of homage & astropical tapes, as well as a busy year of djing up and down the country. “excursion” is the dreamy playful opener that everyone needs to be prescribed in the morning, and not surprisingly, jesse bru has done an amazing job at turning it over its head quite intricately with a bit of detroit flavourings to go with it. the b-side is nothing short of special with the exciting piano keys and vocals on “praise” making it a boat party must-have. last but not least, the namesake “friends” is the butterfly-inducing club closer that’s been shown love by the likes of dan shake, lovebirds and laurence guy.

radio slaves reissue label, r-time, returns with an in demand re-release of his timeless remixes of peace division’s legendary blacklight sleaze (ft pleasant gehman). originally released on nrk in 2006, ‘blacklight sleaze landed at a time when peace division (justin drake & clive henry) was lauded as one of most bankable acts in house music having notched up a truly remarkable catalogue that helped define the genre from the late 90s onwards. later that year, the pleasant gehman spoken vocal led cut was treated to a series of remixes from radio slave, another act who had firmly developed a similarly revered status in the scene. these futuristic remixes, now fully re-mastered and sounding better than ever, take blacklight sleaze to another level with thundering kicks, a pitch-perfect arrangement and tightrope balance between foreboding house and bone-shaking techno. a huge anthem at berghain, these remixes have been a favourite weapon in the record bags of many techno djs, not to mention a regular fixture in nina kraviz and rodhads sets now seems the perfect time for more blacklight sleaze

autarkic describe himself as first and foremost a songwriter but he has also made a name for himself as an international dj. over the past three years the musician based in tel aviv has, with great success, played clubs throughout all of europe. one extra memorable gig was on last year’s edition of convenanza in the amphitheatre in sete, france. rumour has it that the sea living mammals of the area flocked in large groups in the waters below during autarkic’s gig. this 12” picture vinyl is his first release on hoga nord rekords and the slightly psychedelic, sample- and synthesiser based club music that has become autarkic’s trademark sound is captured by an impeccable production. the music is playful, yet stripped down to the essentials and not overloaded. the vocal elements works more as percussive elements than the carrier of the storytelling in the music. if you missed him live or just don’t have the means to go see him, this record give a taste of autarkic’s hypnotic live performances!

we are very happy to announce the 13th release of cabrera with two special remixes from the label boss, j.c., “vertigo” record that came out in the summer of 2017. side a comes with a special shed rework. rene is a huge influence for us and we are thrilled to have him on our catalogue. keeping the essence of the original, he made a proper raw dub techno banger. on the flip side, kastil, already part of the family, took “nyame” in a whole other level and made a fresh blend of fierce techno.

with the launch of their white label series haven is giving all the keepsakes fans out there a very special treat many of them have been waiting on for a while. on “years of delirium part 1” haven is pressing keepsakes best loved tracks from his earlier digital-only releases on to vinyl for the first time.

our third release comes from alex picone an artist and early supporter of our label that we deeply respect for his many skills both in the studio and in the dj booth, and his musical approach that allows him to stay away from trends and clichés. the 3 tracks contained in this ep have been road tested in alex’s live at hoppetosse back in february and weekly dj sets and for us they represent the peak of his relentless audio research into achieving his best mix and eq’ing, so much so this ep comes to you without any audio mastering, recorded straight out from alex’s gear.

(re-issue of the much longed for 2013 lp with alternate artwork). samo dj and max stenerudh have billed the record as a conceptual soundtrack set in kowloon’s walled city, an ex military fort in hong kong that became notorious for its dense population, triad connections and lack of governmental control. it was demolished in the mid 1990s, but has served as the influence for plenty of projects since, and should provide a suitably shadowy backdrop for kwc 92s fractured sounds.
